Cards Galore August Challenge - Day 5 - Marleen & Rachael's design team tags

Welcome to day five of our design team showcase

Marleen

For my tag, I decided to have my very first go with a mask. I die cut the tag, layered with the mask, and used my distress ink and tool to add colour. I then matted my tag onto silver mirri card, die cut the cogs, added the brad and sentiment, finished with an eyelit and ribbon, and Voila :-)

"The tag is what I saved from a pair of jeans i'd got a while ago to recycle. My inspiration for this tag from Tim Holtz . I made this with my daughter in mind she loves butterfly's and birds. So  I thought this could be hung in her bedroom. I used distressed inks for the background stamped the background with some Tim Holtz stamps, die cut the wings and hand cut the heart covered in crackle accents.
Added some orange and blue feathers, die cut flower from Tim Holtz with metal brad in center. Added tiny tag with glossy accents and cut out wording, bird and butterfly from some papers I had in my stash. :) xx"

Linda

I have used mount board for my tag which was already pre-cut.
I have given the base of the tag a crackled look using paint and pva and heat gun.
The stamp is from Sheena Douglass' Paint Fusion range which I have painted with Pebeo Paint.
I have then used WOW iridescent purple embossing powder around the tag.
I distressed the tag using Tim Holtz distress ink.
To finish off I have added some silver and purple ribbon and a dragonfly and bees.

Cards Galore August Challenge - Day 3 - Eileen and Isobel's design team tags

Welcome to day three of our Design Team showcase.

And today is the turn of:
Eileen

"I only had a brown tag, but as dusky pink is my favourite colour, I used one of my dusky pink papers. I coordinated some Memory Box Die cut roses, using a pale pink paper. I outline the tag with crushed jewel peel-offs to give it a lift. Instead of lace or ribbon, I used a spare off cut of a leaf peel-off I had, which unbelievably fit perfect, and I added gems on top. I finished it off with some butterflies I stuck on to the same pink paper, and then cut around them and added them to my tag."

"Well I have to be honest and say I bought my tag ready cut.
My granddaughter Skye gave me one of her birthday cards
to recycle, hence the flip flops. I stamped the tag with SUN SEA and
SAND and added the flip flops and the job was done. Not the most creative
but sometimes its good to recycle!"

Cards Galore August Challenge - Day 2 - Debbi T & Denyse design team tags

Welcome to day two of our design team showcase for this months 'tag' challenge.

Today is the turn of:

"Her is my tag... A favourite LOTV image for me - having boys these are great!
I have coloured the image with my copics and then added co-ordinating card and DSP to the blank tag... I have added card candy to the top and bottom of the tag and inked the edges of the image... x"

"For this challenge I have used one of my favourite stamps, "Little Ballerina", from LOTV. I was only going to stamp one image for a single tag but little rainbow ballerinas were flitting in and out of my mind, so I decided to go for seven images! (As my husband says, "Nothing exceeds like excess!"). I designed the tag shape on my Craft Robo and welded them together to make a concertina tag card. I airbrushed the background using Copic pens and coloured the ballerinas using the same hue as the background. I then cut seven lengths of white ribbon and used the main colour Copic pen to colour the ribbon to match each tag (I just LOVE the fact that the only plain ribbon I need to buy is white!) To finish I coloured seven clear gems with the same Copic colour as the ribbon. I think this would make a lovely 7th Birthday card for a little Ballerina :) X"

"Here is my Christmas tag! An A5 red cardbase trimmed with a red check ribbon with a tassle border and a piece of cream card has been adhered to the bottom. Santa has been stamped and coloured with watercolour paint and the hat has been treated with Glossy Accents. The image was cut-out and popped up on some sticky fixers ans adhered to the tag. Merry Christmas was stamped in gold and the holly coloured with marker pens. Some green and red satin ribbon completes the tag!

"This tag was inspired by my visit last Autumn, to the Kaisercraft warehouse in Melbourne, Oz. Oh what a dream of a place....so many ideas, creations and projects for everyone to look at, and of course lots to buy. I saw the verse on a tag, and loved it, so decided to use it here. x"
