Angela

"Here is my Christmas tag! An A5 red cardbase trimmed with a red check ribbon with a tassle border and a piece of cream card has been adhered to the bottom. Santa has been stamped and coloured with watercolour paint and the hat has been treated with Glossy Accents. The image was cut-out and popped up on some sticky fixers ans adhered to the tag. Merry Christmas was stamped in gold and the holly coloured with marker pens. Some green and red satin ribbon completes the tag!

"This tag was inspired by my visit last Autumn, to the Kaisercraft warehouse in Melbourne, Oz. Oh what a dream of a place....so many ideas, creations and projects for everyone to look at, and of course lots to buy. I saw the verse on a tag, and loved it, so decided to use it here. x"

Cards Galore May Challenge - Inspired by...

Hiya crafty friends,

A bit of a different challenge, for you this month. Is there a crafter you are inspired by? They can be famous, or not so famous. Are they just one of those crafters who you just keep going back to.
Make a project which is inspired by their style. Please state the crafter you were inspired by. And if they have a blog, website etc, please add that too.

This challenge has also been sponsored by

where the winner will win two template of their choice!!

It will be great to see who inspires all you crafters out there, plus hopefully, at the same time, challenging yourself. In all honesty it was a bit of a challenge for all the Design Team members too :)

Isobel’s inspiration:
Barbara Gray is my heroine. I love anything Clarity. I just feel so inspired to have a go whenever I see her on the telly. Her work is so beautiful, hence my submission to the DT this month."

Debbi T’s inspiration:
"I have decided that I am going to use Shelli Gardner as my inspiration, founder of Stampin' Up!I love most of the stamp sets that SU produce and I love the fact that they co-ordinate everything... card, ink, buttons, ribbon and brads... this makes producing a project very pleasing to the eye. I also love that the colours are in colour families as they co-ordinate so well together. I have met Shelli a couple of times and she is a lovely person and also a great crafter...
For my project I have used the stamp set Everything Eleanor and have made a candle, photo frame, notebook and card that all highlight how well everything goes together... "

Denyse inspiration:
"I wanted to create something different for this Challenge and used two sources of inspiration. The first is my lovely daughter Bethany, who is an aspiring Manga Artist, & who has introduced me to manga, anime and Steam Punk. The second inspiration is the lovely Wendy Kadzidlo who has taught me so much about Copics. All of the techniques I have used in colouring the image, I learnt from Wendy and the airbrushed feathers and easel (which I made from normal Kraft Card) are a result of my love for her airbrushing classes!"
You can find Wendy and all things Copic at www.stampsand memories.co.uk, if you have any questions just ask her!

Lexie Inspiration:

Barbara Inspiration:
"My inspiration is Sue Wilson too.

I love her designs, colour choices and think the way she assembles each creation is amazing.
I just love using 'dies' though, from any company :)"

I rarely make a project without the use of a sanding tool and my ever growing stach of distress inks"
